Ingredients

  • 1 - Medium sized, Snake gourd
  • 3 - green chillies, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - Oil
  • 1 sprig- Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp - Grated Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp - Mustard seeds.

How to Make Snake Gourd Foogath-Side Dish

  • Scrape and chop the snake gourd into small pieces then wash well and drain.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds. Then add the green chillies and curry leaves and fry for 2-3 mins.
  • Now toss in the snake gourd.
  • Cover and cook for a few minutes until the vegetable softens and the water dries up.
  • Then add the salt and grated coconut. Mix well.
  • Serve as a side dish.
