Ingredients

  • 8 - taco size flour tortilla shells
  • 1 cup - taco sauce
  • 1/4 cup - hot chilli sauce
  • 1/2 - capsicum, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - tofu, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • 2 - chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp - Oregano
  • 1/2 tsp - Basil
  • 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp - peppercorn powder
  • To taste - salt
  • 1/4 cup - Cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp - Lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup - low fat cheese
  • How to Make Soft Chilly Tacos:

    1. Place chopped tofu, tomato, onion, capsicum and green chillies in a bowl.
    2. Add 1/2 cup taco sauce, chilli sauce, salt and pepper to it and mix.
    3. Now stir in chilli flakes, oregano and basil.
    4. Mix lemon juice and chopped cilantro leaves.
    5. Warm the taco shells in an oven (preheated to 200 degrees) for 5 minutes.
    6. Apply 2 tsp of taco sauce in the shell.
    7. Fill the stuffing in half of the shell, add cheese over it.
    8. Roast in oven or over a non-stick pan for 5 minutes or serve as it is.
    9. Serve hot with Mexican salsa.
