Ingredients

  • 8 - taco size flour tortilla shells
  • 1 cup - taco sauce
  • 1/4 cup - hot chilli sauce
  • 1/2 - capsicum, chopped
  • 1/2 cup - tofu, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 1 - tomato, chopped
  • 2 - chillies, chopped
  • 1 tsp - oregano
  • 1/2 tsp - basil
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli flakes
  • 1/2 tsp - peppercorn powder
  • To taste - salt
  • 1/4 cup - cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp - lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup - low fat cheese

How to Make Soft Chilly Tacos

  • Place chopped tofu, tomato, onion, capsicum and green chillies in a bowl.
  • Add 1/2 cup taco sauce, chilli sauce, salt and pepper to it and mix.
  • Now stir in chilli flakes, oregano and basil.
  • Mix lemon juice and chopped cilantro leaves.
  • Warm the taco shells in an oven (preheated to 200 degrees) for 5 minutes.
  • Apply 2 tsp of taco sauce in the shell.
  • Fill the stuffing in half of the shell, add cheese over it.
  • Roast in oven or over a non-stick pan for 5 minutes or serve as it is.
  • Serve hot with Mexican salsa.
