Ingredients

3 cups hard Raw papaya (grated)

1/2 cup tender green beans (french beans, Lobia or chawli) finely sliced

1/4 cup Cashew nuts (whole and roasted)

1 Tomato (deseeded and cut into 8 pieces)

For Tamarind Chilli Dressing

2 tbsp Lemon juice

2 tbsp Sugar

2 tbsp finely chopped Coriander leaves

1 tbsp Tamarind pulp

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tsp Red Chilli powder

some few green or Red Chillies (as per taste and finely chopped)

salt to taste

Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients of the dressing together
  2. Put papaya and other ingredients in a bowl
  3. Pour the dressing and mix well
  4. Cover with a cling film and chill for at least an hour so that the flavours penetrate
  5. Serve by itself as a starter
