Ingredients

  • Soybean - 1 cup, frozen
  • Water or milk - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
  • green chillies - 2
  • Curry leaves - 5
  • Cardamom - 1
  • Cinnamon - 1"
  • Cloves - 3
  • Ginger - 1/2 inch
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Onion - 1 (medium size), finely chopped
  • Capsicum - 1 (medium size), finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 (medium size), finely chopped
  • Coriander leaves - One bunch
  • salt to taste

How to Make Soya bean-Capsicum curry

  • Put frozen soyabeans in 1/2 cup water or milk.
  • Add 1 green chilli and a pinch of salt.
  • Cook this in a pressure cooker till the soyabeans become soft.
  • After removing from pressure cooker, crush lightly with your fingers.
  • Take oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, green chilli and curry leaves.
  • Saute for a few minutes.
  • Add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves powder, ginger, garlic paste and saute it for few more minutes.
  • Add onions and fry till they turn light brown.
  • Add capsicum and let it fry for some time.
  • Add tomato, close the plate and leave for a few minutes till it becomes soft like puree.
  • Add the cooked and crushed soyabean and salt.
  • Let it boil for a few minutes.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
