  • Soya -1/2 cup
  • Capsicum-2
  • Carrot-1
  • Grated Coconut-1/4 cup
  • Jeera-1/2 tsp
  • Green Chilli-1
  • Mustard-1/2 tsp
  • Urad Dal-1/2 tsp
  • Channa Dal-1/2 tsp
  • Red Chilli-1
  • Salt-to taste
  • Curry Leaves-1 sprig

How to Make Soya Capsicum Kootu

  • Soak soya overnight. In a pressure cooker, add soaked soya, chopped carrot and capsicum. Cook for 2 whistles.
  • In a mixer, add grated coconut, jeera and green chilli and grind to a fine paste. Add this paste to the cooked mixture. Mix well and add salt.
  • Temper with oil, mustard, urad and channa dals, red chilli and curry leaves. Finally, serve hot with rice.
