  • Soya flakes - 1 cup
  • Oil - 1/4 cup
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tsp each
  • Chilli powder - 1.5 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Channa gram dhal - 1/4 cup (cooked with salt and turmeric)
  • Onions - 1, finely chopped
  • Egg - 1
  • Salt - to taste

How to Make Soya Dish

  • Put the soya in hot water for around 15 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Fry the onions for a few seconds and add ginger-garlic paste, chilli powder and the dal. Fry well.
  • Add soya and fry again.
  • Now add the coconut and fry till it is dry.
  • Add salt. Allow the mixture to cool.
  • Put it in a mixer and mix in an egg.
  • Make small balls and flatten a little.
  • Deep-fry these kebabs in hot oil.
  • Serve with rice, chapatti or biriyani.
