Ingredients

  • 100 gms - soya chunks
  • 250 gms - Rice
  • ½ cup - peas
  • 30 gms - Carrots (chopped)
  • 25 gms - beans (chopped)
  • 25 gms - Broccoli
  • 25 gms - Cauliflower
  • 50 gms - onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Cardamom
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 2 tsp - oil
  • few pepper Corns
  • How to Make Soya Vegetable Pulao:

    1. Pick and soak the rice. Soak it in double its volume of water for half-hour.
    2. Soak the soya chunks in water for 5 mins.
    3. Heat oil in a heavy-bottom pan, fry the clove, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf and cumin seeds.
    4. Fry the thinly sliced onions to a golden brown colour.
    5. Add the chopped vegetables, soaked chunks and saute for a few mins. Add soaked rice and fry a little.
    6. Add water, salt and cook on a slow fire till done.
    7. Keep the rice covered for a few minutes after cooking.
    8. Serve hot with raitha.
