Ingredients

  • Soya nuggets - 1 cup
  • Onion sliced - 1 cup
  • Ginger and Green chilli paste - 2 tsp
  • Garlic chopped fine -1 tsp
  • Saunf (fennel seeds) - 1/2 tsp
  • Dhaniya powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri chilli powder - 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • Water - 4.5 cups

How to Make Soya Wonder

  • Boil 3 cups water and add the soya nuggets.
  • Boil for 2 minutes and turn off the gas.
  • Keep covered for 10 minutes.
  • Drain off the water and squeeze excess water from soya nuggets.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil. Fry the sliced onion.
  • Add the ginger/chilli paste, dhania powder, chilli powder and fry well.
  • Cool and grind to paste with one tomato.
  • Heat oil. Add the fennel seeds, chopped garlic and fry. Add the ground masala and fry again.
  • Add the garam masala and mix.
  • Add the soya nuggets and stir.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Add 1.5 cup water and simmer till gravy thickens.
  • Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot.
