How to Make Spaghetti with Meat and Mushroom sauce

  • Cook spaghetti in plenty of boiling water to which a tsp of salt and 2 tsp of oil is added.
  • Drain, rinse with cold water, toss in 1 tsp of oil and keep aside.
  • Heat one and a half tbsps butter with remaining oil.
  • Brown the meat in it.
  • Add carrot, celery and onion.
  • Fry for a few minutes.
  • Add salt and pepper and tomatoes, bay leaf and thyme.
  • Add 2 cups of water and simmer till the meat is cooked.
  • Add mushrooms and simmer for 2 more minutes.
  • Add the remaining butter and Maida.
  • Simmer for 2 more minutes.
  • Serve the spaghetti, topped with the sauce.
