Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - toor dal
  • 1/2 - fresh coconut
  • 10-12 - green chillies
  • 1 pinch - hing
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Special Nucchina Unde

  • Soak tuvar dal for 2 hours. Grind it coarsely without adding water.
  • Sprinkle a little water on the tuvar dal and steam it in a pressure cooker for 15 mins.
  • Add chopped green chillies, salt, shredded coconut and hing to the dal. Mix it well.
  • Make small balls (small lime sized). Arrange them on an idli stand or cooker container and steam them for 10-12 mins.
  • You can serve this nucchina unde with moor kolambu or chutney.
