How to Make Special Onion tomato chutney

  • Heat oil in a pan. Cut the onion into small pieces. When the oil becomes hot, put the onions in and fry.
  • Saute till the onion becomes golden brown.
  • Add turmeric powder and chilli powder.
  • Put the chopped tomatoes into the pan and fry till the raw smell is gone.
  • Add salt. Do not add water.
  • Remove from fire and let it cool.
  • Put the fried onion and tomatoes into a mixer when it cools down.
  • Add the grated coconut and grind into a paste.
  • Onion tomato chutney is ready. You can use this with dosa.
