Ingredients

  • Poha - 2 cups
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Red Chillies - 7 (according to taste)
  • Fresh grated Coconut - 1/2 cup
  • Jaggery - 1/2 tbsp
  • Tamarind juice - 3 tsp
  • Salt
  • Seasoning:
  • Oil - 2 tbsp
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • Peanuts - 1/4 cup
  • Curry leaves
  • Haldi
  • How to Make Special Poha:

    1. Grind mustard seeds, coconut, red chillies and jaggery with little a water.
    2. Soak the poha in water for 5 mins, then drain and keep it aside.
    3. In a kadai, heat the oil and add mustard seeds. Allow to splutter.
    4. Add haldi, peanuts and curry leaves.
    5. Add the tamarind juice and grinded mixture.
    6. Add salt and the poha.
    7. Mix well for 3-4 mins and then serve hot.
