Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Rava
  • 2 cups - Sugar
  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1 cup - Water
  • 10 - Cashew nuts
  • 10 - Raisins
  • 1/4 tsp - Food colour or kesari powder
  • 2 tsp - Cardamom powder

How to Make Special Rava Kesari

  • Fry the rava in a heavy bottomed pan for 5 minutes.
  • Add 1 tbsp ghee, fry for 5 more minutes and keep aside.
  • Heat ghee in a kadai and add cashew nuts and raisins.
  • Fry and add milk, water and food colour.
  • Allow to boil.
  • Reduce the flame and add sugar.
  • Let sugar dissolve, then add rava, keep flame low and mix well.
  • Add some ghee and cardamom powder and mix well on medium flame.
