Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Rava
  • 2 cups - Sugar
  • 1 cup - Ghee
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1 cup - Water
  • 10 - Cashew nuts
  • 10 - Raisins
  • 1/4 tsp - Food colour or kesari powder
  • 2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • How to Make Special Rava Kesari:

    1. Fry the rava in a heavy bottomed pan for 5 minutes.
    2. Add 1 tbsp ghee, fry for 5 more minutes and keep aside.
    3. Heat ghee in a kadai and add cashew nuts and raisins.
    4. Fry and add milk, water and food colour.
    5. Allow to boil.
    6. Reduce the flame and add sugar.
    7. Let sugar dissolve, then add rava, keep flame low and mix well.
    8. Add some ghee and cardamom powder and mix well on medium flame.
