  • 5 - Tomato
  • 1/2 cup - oil
  • salt
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Jaggery
  • For seasoning:
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • 1 pinch -asafoetida
  • How to Make Special Tomato Gojju:

    1. Wash and cut tomatoes into small pieces.
    2. Heat oil in a pan and add the seasoning ingredients.
    3. Add the cut tomato pieces and cook for about 2 mins.
    4. Add the rest of the ingredients, cook on a low flame till the contents become thick and dark red in colour.
    5. Add oil intermittently to ensure that the contents do not stick to the bottom of the pan.
    6. Serve with chapatti or rice.
