How to Make Special Tomato Masala

  • Heat 8 tsp of oil in kadai, add cumin and sesame seeds. When they splutter, add onion paste and fry on medium flame till it is golden brown in colour.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric and fry for a minute.
  • Add red chilli powder and fry for a minute, then add slit tomatoes and cook on low flame for 5-10 mins.
  • When tomatoes are cooked properly, add salt and gingili powder.
  • Cook for 2-3 mins. When you get the aroma of cooked tomatoes, add coriander powder, garam masala and cook for 1 minute.
  • Remove from flame and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  • Serve with naan.
