How to Make Special Tomato Mushrooms

  • Clean and cut mushrooms into half.
  • Boil the mushrooms for 5 mins.
  • Add oil in a kadai.
  • Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
  • Fry onions till golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for 3 mins.
  • Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder.
  • Let it cook for 5 mins.
  • Add mushrooms, water, salt and let it cook on a slow flame till water evaporates (approx 10 mins).
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve hot with rotis / naans.
