Ingredients

  • 250 gms - button Mushrooms
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped finely
  • 1 - onion, chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup - Tomato puree
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger paste
  • 1 tsp - Garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1 pinch of Asafoetida
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/4 cup - water
  • Salt as per taste
  • Chopped Coriander leaves
  • How to Make Special Tomato Mushrooms:

    1. Clean and cut mushrooms into half.
    2. Boil the mushrooms for 5 mins.
    3. Add oil in a kadai.
    4. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
    5. Fry onions till golden brown.
    6. Add ginger-garlic paste.
    7. Add chopped tomatoes and simmer for 3 mins.
    8. Add tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder.
    9. Let it cook for 5 mins.
    10. Add mushrooms, water, salt and let it cook on a slow flame till water evaporates (approx 10 mins).
    11. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    12. Serve hot with rotis / naans.
