How to Make Spiced Tuna Hash-Tuna Puttu

  • Drain the water from the tuna fish cans and mash the fish in a bowl.
  • Now add the pepper powder, cumin seed powder, turmeric powder, fennel seed powder, salt and mix everything well.
  • Then heat oil in a pan, splutter the mustard seeds and urad dal. Now add the chopped ginger, chopped green chillies and chopped garlic pieces to the seeds and saute until slightly brown.
  • Add the chopped onions and saute until pink.
  • Now add the fish and toss everything together and simmer until the water dries up and gets fried.
  • Now sprinkle the puttu with the chopped coriander leaves and the grated coconut, cook for few minutes and remove from the stove.
  • Serve with rice.
