Ingredients

  • 4 cups - rice
  • 5 - big potatoes
  • 10 - green chillies
  • 1 - small piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 - stalk of fresh mint
  • 1 tbsp - turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp - jeera
  • 1.5 tbsp - garam masala
  • salt to taste
  • 5 tbsps - oil

How to Make Spicy Aloo Bhath

  • Cook the rice.
  • Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker, peel the skin and cut into medium sized cubes.
  • Grind ginger and chillies to a fine paste.
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add jeera, turmeric powder, ground ginger chilli paste.
  • Add the cubed potatoes and stir or a minute.
  • Add salt and garam masala.
  • Cook for 3 mins.
  • Mix this curry with the cooked rice and serve with raitha.
