  • Carrots- 2
  • Green chillies- 10
  • Garlic cloves- 3
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Red chillies- 2
  • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • Lemon - 2
  • Turmeric powder- a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for seasoning

How to Make Spicy Carrot Chutney with Lemon

  • Peel the skin of carrots, grate them, and set aside.
  • Grind green chillies and garlic cloves and mix them with the grated carrots.
  • Add salt according to your taste.
  • Heat oil and add mustard seeds, red chillies, curry leaves, turmeric, and urad dal.
  • When the seeds crackle, add the carrot mixture.
  • Fry for 5 minutes.
  • Take off heat.
  • After the mixture cools down a little bit, add the lemon juice and mix well.
  • Serve with rotis.
