Ingredients

  • 200 g - paneer cubes
  • 1 cup - single cream
  • 1 cup - finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup - tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup - cashew nut paste
  • 1 tsp - ginger paste
  • 1 tsp - garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - butter or ghee
  • Kasuri methi
  • 1 tbsp - (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp - salt, or as per taste
  • Chopped coriander leaves

How to Make Spicy Cashew Paneer

  • Make a thick paste of onion, ginger and garlic in a blender.
  • Heat the butter or ghee in a pan, add ginger and garlic paste and cashewnut paste.
  • Fry till golden in colour, add tomato puree, kasuri methi, salt, red chilli powder.
  • Mix well and cook for 5 mins while stirring.
  • Add the cream and garam masala powder, mix well and let it cook for 2-3 mins.
  • Add the paneer cubes and cook for a few minutes. Garnish with coriander.
  • Serve hot with plain rice/pulao or naan bread.
