Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken
  • 8 to 10 - chopped onions
  • 4 to 5 - chopped green chilli
  • 2 tbsp - sugar
  • 2 - chopped tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp - ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp - garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp - fenugreek powder
  • 1 tbsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp - turmeric
  • 2 tbsp - vinegar
  • 2 tbsp - red chilli powder
  • Water to make the gravy
  • Oil to cook

How to Make Spicy Chicken Curry in Tomato based Gravy

  • Marinate chicken with sugar and set aside for 15-20 mins.
  • In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds, fenugreek powder, onions and saute well.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli paste and saute further.
  • Mix in the tomatoes, add the turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder and water.
  • Mix in the marinated chicken and cook till done.
  • Serve hot.
