Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Chicken ( usually one whole chicken) skinless
  • 1.5 nos Onions sliced
  • 2 nos - Tomatoes
  • 2 nos - green chillies
  • 1 cup - coriander leaves chopped
  • 1/4 cup - mint leaves
  • 1.5 tsp - chilly powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - yogurt
  • 1/2 cup - Oil
  • Whole spices 1 each of cardamom, cinnamon and cloves
  • 3 tsp - Ginger , ground
  • 2 tsp - Garlic , ground
  • 3 tsp - Coconut milk (available in cans)
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Spicy Chicken Korma in Curd

  • First wash and drain chicken.
  • Pour oil, add the spices, then add the sliced onions and fry till golden brown.
  • Add ground garlic and fry for a minute or so. Then add the chicken and fry for 3 mins.
  • Then add the chopped tomatoes, green chillies, ginger paste, powders and fry again for few mins.
  • Then add the yogurt, chopped coriander, mint, salt and let boil.
  • As soon as it starts to boil, stir well and reduce heat. Cover and let cook on low heat for about 25 mins.
  • Then add coconut milk, cover and let simmer again for another 5-10 mins. Tastes very good with naan, parathas or rice.
