Ingredients

  • 2 lbs - Chicken
  • 2 - medium onions, sliced
  • 4 tbsps - curry powder (or 2 tsp - Cumins powder, 2 tsp - coriander powder, 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder, 2 tsp - chilli powder)
  • 8 - Curry leaves
  • 10 - Green chillies
  • 2 tbsps - Olive oil
  • 3 - Cloves
  • 1/2 inch - Cinnamon stick
  • 1 cup - yogurt
  • 1 - Tomato
  • 2 tbsps - Lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves, chopped for garnish
  • How to Make Spicy Chicken Masala Fry:

    1. Cut the chicken into medium-sized pieces. Mix together the salt and all the curry powder. Marinate for 15 mins.
    2. Heat olive oil, fry the sliced onion, green chillies, cloves and cinnamon stick. When onion turns golden, add the chicken, curry leaves and saute for a couple of minutes.
    3. Then add yogurt, tomato, stir a few turns and add 2 cups of water and lemon juice.
    4. Cook till chicken is tender, add salt to taste, garnish with coriander leaves.
