Ingredients

  • 1 kg - chicken in small pieces
  • 5 - large chopped onion
  • 4 - large chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp - chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp - chopped ginger
  • 1 cup - grated coconut
  • 3 - green chillies
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 2 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1.5 tsp - garam masala
  • 3 - cinnamon sticks
  • 3 - cardamom
  • 6 - pepper corn
  • 6 - cloves
  • 2 - bay leaves

How to Make Spicy Chicken Sukka

  • Heat oil and add cinnamon, clove, pepper, cardamom and bay leaves.
  • When they crackle, add chopped onion and fry till golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes and fry for 5 min.
  • Add ginger garlic and green chillies and stir.
  • Add turmeric, coriander, cumin, chilli and garam masala powder. Fry till oil separates from masala.
  • Add chicken and stir for 5 min.
  • Add salt and little water. Cook for 7 to 8 mins.
  • Now, add grated coconut and mix it.
  • Keep on simmer (low fire) till chicken is cooked and the water is evaporated
  • Add lots of chopped coriander leaves. Serve hot with chapatti or rotis.
