Ingredients

  • 2 cups - chick pea (soaked overnight)
  • 1/2 tsp - ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup - onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup - carrot (grated)
  • 1/4 cup - bell pepper (finely cut)
  • 2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - garam masala
  • Curry Leaf
  • 1/4 cup - coriander leaf (finely chopped)
  • 1 tsp - mustard
  • Oil
  • Salt

How to Make Spicy Chickpea

  • Pressure cook Chickpea with salt. Keep aside.
  • Add oil in a pan and pop mustard. Then add ginger-garlic paste and fry till raw smell is gone.
  • Now add onion, bell pepper and carrot. Fry them well and when the onion turns golden brown, add a little salt, red chilli powder and garam masala. Mix well.
  • Now, in medium flame add cooked chickpeas and mix the contents well.
  • Close the pan with lid and leave it as such for another 5 minutes.
  • Before taking out of the stove, add chopped coriander and curry leaf.
  • Serve hot with a cup of tea/coffee.
