  • 1 cup - channa dal
  • 1 cup - grated coconut
  • 1/4 cup -red chillies
  • 1 - tamarind, size of a lime
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp - sugar
  • 1 tbsp - mustard
  • 1 tbsp - coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp - white til

How to Make Spicy Chutney Podi

  • Fry all the ingredients separately.
  • Powder the mustard, white til, coriander seeds. To this, add the sugar, salt, tamarind, dry coconut and channa dal, which has been fried to a golden colour.
  • Spicy chutney powder goes very well with idlis, dosas and also with steamed white rice.
