Ingredients

  • 500 gms - firm fleshed fish
  • 200 gms - fresh coconut
  • 50 gms - fresh coriander
  • 6 garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 4 green chillies
  • 0.5 tsp - sugar
  • 2 tsp - white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • 1 lime
  • salt to taste

How to Make Spicy Coriander Fish

  • Clean and cut fish into 3-4 cm thick slices.
  • Scrape coconut.
  • Blend coconut with garlic, chillies, cumin, sugar with little water in a processor using on/off turns until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  • Add coriander, lime juice, white vinegar, oil and salt.
  • In a circular dish arrange fish.
  • Coat slices of fish with ground masala paste.
  • Cover with cling film and cook in a microwave in High for 10 minutes or till cooked.
  • Leave it to stand for 5 mins.
  • Garnish with lemon rings before serving.
