Ingredients

1 kg - Mutton or Beef cut into medium-sized pieces

4 tsp - chilli powder

1 cup - curd/yogurt

salt to taste

4 tbsp - chopped Coriander leaves

2 tbsp - chopped Mint leaves

2 tsp - Garlic paste

1 tsp - spice powder or Garam Masala powder

4 Green chillies

1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder

1 tsp - pepper powder

2 tomatoes, chopped

3 onions, chopped finely

1 tsp - Cumins powder

3 tbsp - oil

Method

  1. Marinate the beef / mutton with all the above ingredients except the oil and keep aside for about 2 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a suitable pan and add the marinated meat.
  3. Cook on high heat for about 5 mins mixing occasionally so that the meat does not stick to the bottom of the pan.
  4. Add 1 cup of water and mix well.
  5. Simmer covered on low heat till the meat is tender and the gravy is thick.
  6. Serve with chapattis, bread or rice.
