Ingredients

  • 1 cup - basmati rice
  • 1 cloves - cloves
  • 1 inch - cinnamon
  • 2 - cardamoms
  • 1 - bay leaf
  • A few - cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup - sliced onion
  • 2 - green chillies
  • To mix: 1 cup - mint leaves, ground with 2 cups water
  • To grind:
  • 1 tbsp - coconut
  • 1/2 inch - ginger
  • 5 flakes - garlic
  • A few - cinnamon, cloves, aniseeds and poppy seeds
  • 2 - dry chillies
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp - ghee

How to Make Spicy Mint Pulao

  • Soak the rice for 30 minutes and drain water. | | Heat oil and ghee. | | Season with cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaves, and cashew nuts.
  • Add onions and green chillies. Mix for 2 mins.
  • Add coconut masala paste and mix till raw smell goes.
  • Add rice and mix for 1 minute.
  • Add mint water and salt.
  • Cook and serve with raita.
