Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - onion, sliced
  • 1 cup - tomato, chopped
  • 1 cup - carrot, cubed
  • 1 cup - green peas
  • 1/2 cup - beans, cut 2 cms long
  • 4 cms long - ginger
  • 3 - cloves
  • 2 pieces - cinnamon
  • 2 - black cardamoms
  • 1 whole garlic
  • 2 tsp - Kashmir chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - pepper corns
  • 1 tsp - fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • Coriander leaves to garnish
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • salt to taste

How to Make Spicy Mixed Vegetable Curry

  • Grind chilli powder, pepper corns, fennel seeds and turmeric powder together to make a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add onion and fry till golden brown.
  • Add the ground masala and fry well.
  • Add tomatoes and fry till oil separates at the sides.
  • Add the vegetables and salt along with 1.5 cups of water.
  • Close and pressure cook for 5 mins.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
