Ingredients

  • 1 kg - Mutton (boneless or with bone)
  • 1 - large Onion, sliced
  • 1 - large Tomato, sliced
  • 1.5 tbsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp - Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsps - pepper powder
  • 2 tbsps - coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup - Curd
  • 1 tbsp - Meat Masala Powder

How to Make Spicy Mutton Gravy

  • Cut the mutton pieces into cubes and wash.
  • Marinate the mutton pieces with red chilli powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, coriander powder and salt. Keep them aside for 1 hour.
  • Then pressure cook the mutton pieces till tender.
  • In a pan, heat oil. Now add cinnamon sticks and cloves to the oil.
  • Put in the sliced onions and fry till golden brown.
  • Finally, add the ginger-garlic paste and fry for about a minute.
  • Now add the tomatoes and fry till the tomatoes are soft. Put in the meat masala powder and fry for 2 mins.
  • Now is the time to put in the mutton pieces and fry them.
  • Pour some water and mix it with the mutton. Close the lid and let it simmer for 10 mins.
  • Add the curd and mix it. Let it boil and then turn off the flame.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve hot with rice, chapatti or bread.
