Ingredients

  • 500g- Mutton cut into small cubes
  • 6 tbsp- oil
  • 3- small Tomatoes
  • 3- small potatoes, peeled and cut
  • 2- onions, chopped in slices
  • 250g- boiled peas
  • Salt as per taste
  • Grind with 2 tbsps of vinegar:
  • 8- red dry chillies
  • 6- Garlic Cloves
  • 1 inch piece- Ginger
  • 3- Cloves
  • 5- Cardamoms
  • 6- peppercorns
  • 1/2 inch piece- Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp- Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp- Cumin seeds
  • How to Make Spicy Mutton Vindaloo:

    1. Marinate mutton pieces with ground masala and salt for 2 hours.
    2. Heat oil and fry the mutton pieces for 15 mins.
    3. Add 5 cups water and bring to boil stirring occasionally.
    4. Let it cook for 50 mins (it should not be completely cooked).
    5. Add potatoes, onions and tomatoes.
    6. Let it cooked till everything is cooked properly.
    7. Finally, put the green peas. Heat through.
    8. Serve hot.
