Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1.75 tsp - ground cumin
  • 1 tsp - ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp - paprika or red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 750 gms - baby potatoes, cut into halves and boiled until tender
  • 1/3 cup - chopped fresh coriander leaves
  • 1.5 tbsp - olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Salad dressing:
  • 1/3 cup - lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp - olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coarsely crushed black pepper
  • 1 tsp - sugar

How to Make Spicy Potato Coriander Salad

  • Combine together all the ingredients for the salad dressing in a bowl and whisk to mix well. Keep aside.
  • For potato salad: Heat oil in a pan; add onion, garlic, cumin, coriander powder, chilli powder, cinnamon and turmeric.
  • Add potatoes, coriander leaves and salt.
  • Stir well and cook for 7-8 mins. or until the potatoes are coated with the spices.
  • Put the potato mixture in a salad bowl. Add the dressing.
