Ingredients

  • 500g - Prawns - washed and deveined.
  • 1.5 cup - Rice - washed.
  • 1 small cup - Snow peas.
  • 2 - Red chillies.
  • 1 tbsp - Desiccated coconut.
  • 2- Cardamoms.
  • 1 " piece- Cinnamon.
  • 1 - Large onion, finely chopped.
  • 1 tsp each of -Turmeric and Red Chilli powder.
  • 1 tbsp - Garlic Ginger paste.
  • Salt to taste.
  • Coriander leaves - a small bunch, chopped, for garnishing.
  • How to Make Spicy Prawn Biryani with Snow Peas and Coconut:

    1. Soak washed rice for 45 mins.
    2. Marinate the prawns with turmeric and chilli powder and 1/2 tsp salt for 30 mins.
    3. Grind the red chillies, desiccated coconut, cardamoms, red chillies and the cinnamon into a smooth masala paste.
    4. |Heat oil and saute the onion until pink.
    5. Add the garlic ginger paste and stir.
    6. Now add the snow peas and the masala paste. Mix well.
    7. Add the prawns and mix it well in the paste.
    8. Cook on a slow fire.
    9. Now drain the rice and add to the prawns mixture.
    10. Allow to cook until the rice is cooked.
    11. Garnish with coriander leaves.
