How to Make Spicy Prawns (with pepper powder)

  • Wash, clean and devein prawns. Drain out the water thoroughly.
  • In a wide pan, heat oil. Add finely sliced onions and fry till it is golden in color and crisp.
  • Add ginger, garlic, slit green chilli and curry leaves to it.
  • Saute on low to medium heat for 5 - 6 minutes or until it is crisp.
  • Add pepper powder, turmeric powder and red chilli powder to it.
  • Stir on low heat for 2 - 3 minutes.
  • Add prawns and salt to it. Mix all the ingredients well.
  • Do not add water while cooking.
  • Cover it with a lid and cook on low to medium heat for 8 - 10 minutes or till it is done.
  • Serve it as a side dish with rice.
