Ingredients

  • For salmon:
  • 4-6 - fillet of salmon - cut in to thin small slices
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder -
  • salt - to taste
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • For tempering:
  • 2 tbsp - sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp - groundnuts /cashewnuts
  • 4-5 - Red Chillies
  • 3-4 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 bunch - fresh Basil leaves (chopped)
  • Other Ingredients: 1 cup - cooked Rice
  • 2 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • salt

How to Make Spicy salmon with lemon basil rice

  • Method for salmon:
  • Clean Salmon. Make marinade with chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and oil.
  • Marinate fish for 3-4 hrs in the mixture.
  • Bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes (turning once in between) and broil for 5 more minutes.
  • Heat 1 tbs of oil in a pan. Add the nuts and fry till golden brown.
  • Add the red and green chillies. Add turmeric. Saute
  • Add the basil leaves and saute (reserve some leaves for garnish).
  • Turn off heat. Let it cool.
  • Add the lime juice.
  • Add the rice in small quantities and mix it in.
  • Add the rest of the oil and mix.
  • Serve hot fish with rice.
