Ingredients

  • For salmon:
  • 4-6 - fillet of salmon - cut in to thin small slices
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder -
  • salt - to taste
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • For tempering:
  • 2 tbsp - sesame oil
  • 4 tbsp - groundnuts /cashewnuts
  • 4-5 - Red Chillies
  • 3-4 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 bunch - fresh Basil leaves (chopped)
  • Other Ingredients: 1 cup - cooked Rice
  • 2 tbsp - Lemon juice
  • salt
  • How to Make Spicy salmon with lemon basil rice:

    1. Method for salmon:
    2. Clean Salmon. Make marinade with chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and oil.
    3. Marinate fish for 3-4 hrs in the mixture.
    4. Bake in oven at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes (turning once in between) and broil for 5 more minutes.
    5. Heat 1 tbs of oil in a pan. Add the nuts and fry till golden brown.
    6. Add the red and green chillies. Add turmeric. Saute
    7. Add the basil leaves and saute (reserve some leaves for garnish).
    8. Turn off heat. Let it cool.
    9. Add the lime juice.
    10. Add the rice in small quantities and mix it in.
    11. Add the rest of the oil and mix.
    12. Serve hot fish with rice.
