Ingredients

  • 4 - onions, minced
  • 3 - chillies, minced
  • few - Mint leaves
  • 1 - tomatoes, chopped
  • few - Plums
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 2 tbsp - Ghee
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 6 - mackerels
  • 4 tbsp - cooking oil
  • How to Make Spicy Stuffed Mackerels:

    1. Make a paste of chilli powder, turmeric and salt.
    2. Smear the fish with the paste and marinate for an hour.
    3. To Prepare Stuffing:
    4. Heat ghee in a pan. Saute the minced onions till it turns pink.
    5. Add the chopped chillies, tomatoes, plums and mint leaves.
    6. Fry for 2 mins, add pepper powder, garam masala and salt.
    7. When almost done remove from heat.
    8. Fill the belly portion of the fish with the onion-plum stuffing. Tie the fish with a thread, so that the filling does not come out.
    9. Put enough oil in a frying pan and shallow-fry both sides of the fish on medium heat.
    10. Serve hot.
