  • 250 gms - chicken breasts/wings/drumsticks
  • One and a half tsp - red chilli powder
  • One and a half tsp - paprika powder
  • One and a half tsp - turmeric powder
  • One and a half tsp - pepper powder
  • 1 tsp - dhaniya powder
  • 50 gms - ginger and garlic
  • 1 tsp - aam choor
  • 2 tsp - lemon juice
  • 2 onion, chopped fine
  • One and a half tbsp - oil

How to Make Spicy Tangy Grilled Chicken

  • Clean the chicken pieces, make small gashes on it.
  • Marinate the chicken with red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.
  • Keep it for 10 minutes.
  • Grill it partially, occasionally basting it with oil.
  • Now grind together ginger, garlic, dhaniya powder, pepper powder, aamchoor & paprika powder in lemon juice into a coarse paste.
  • Now marinate the partially grilled chicken with this paste and keep it for another 15 minutes.
  • Now grill it at high for nearly 10 minutes, frequently turning the sides and basting it with oil.
  • Chop the onions, marinate it with 1/2 tsp red chilli powder, turmeric, oil and salt.
  • Grill it at high, stirring occasionally for three or four minutes.
  • Now serve the grilled chicken on this bed of grilled onion along with tomato sauce or pudina chutney!
  • Have it as a starter or with chapatti.
