Ingredients

  • 2 cups - boiled basmati Rice
  • 3 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tsp - Green peas
  • 2 tsp - French beans, chopped
  • 1 - onion, chopped
  • 2 - green chillies, silted
  • 12 to 15 - Garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 inch - ginger, crushed
  • 1 tsp - fennel seed, crushed
  • 2 pieces - Cinnamon
  • 3 or 4 - Cloves
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • 2 tsp - veg oil
  • 1 or 2 - Bay Leaf
  • salt as per taste

How to Make Spicy Tomato Garlic rice

  • Heat oil add crushed garlic and ginger, bay leaf, fennel seed, cinnamon, cloves, fry for 2 min. To this add green chillies, peas, French beans, tomatoes, salt, turmeric, chilli powder. Mix well and cook with closed lid till the veg are soft.
  • Add garam masala powder to the gravy. Mix well.
  • Now add boiled rice and mix well till the rice absorbs all the gravy.
  • Tomato garlic rice is ready.
  • Garnish it with chopped onions and coriander leaves before serving.
