Ingredients

  • 1/2 packet frozen puff pastry (1 sheet)
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Green onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp of water
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/8 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 packet frozen spinach, thawed and well drained
  • How to Make Spinach-Cheese Swirls:

    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature for 30 minutes.
    2. Mix egg and water and set aside.
    3. Mix Monterey Jack cheese, Parmesan cheese, onion and garlic powder.
    4. Unfold pastry on lightly floured surface.
    5. Brush with egg mixture.
    6. Top with cheese mixture and spinach.
    7. Starting at one side, roll up like a jelly roll.
    8. Cut into 20 half slices and place 2 inch apart on baking sheet.
    9. Brush tops with egg mixture.
    10. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
