Ingredients

  • 1 bunch - Spinach
  • 2 -red chillies
  • 2 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 - Coconut
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - Toor Dal
  • For garnishing:
  • 2 tsp - Coconut oil
  • 1 tsp -mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp -urud dal
  • How to Make Spinach Milagootal:

    1. Pressure cook tuvar dal.
    2. Clean spinach thoroughly and cook it in a vessel by adding some water (very little water is enough to cook spinach) along with salt and turmeric powder.
    3. Grind the spinach in a blender and keep aside.
    4. Grind grated coconut, red chillies, cumin seeds and add them to the spinach.
    5. Add the cooked tuvar dal to these and cook for about 7 minutes.
    6. Season with coconut oil, mustard seeds and urud dal.
