Ingredients

  • 12 to 14 - slices bread
  • 4 tbsp - sesame seeds, roasted
  • 1 small bunch - spinach, finely chopped
  • 2 medium - olive oil/oil
  • Onions, finely chopped
  • salt to taste
  • 2 - green chillies
  • 4 to 5 - medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 cup - green chutney
  • 1 cup - cheese grated (optional)
  • 1 medium - tomato, cut into slices and de-seeded
  • 1/4 cup - butter

How to Make Spinach Potato Toast Palak Aloo Toast

  • Heat olive oil in a pan.
  • Add onions, green chillies and saute till lightly browned.
  • Add spinach and salt. Continue to saute.
  • Add mashed potatoes and mix well.
  • Arrange bread slices on the work top.
  • Spread butter and green chutney on all of them.
  • Spread the potato mixture over the chutney evenly.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese and roasted sesame seeds.
  • Finally, place tomato strips on top for garnish.
  • Place bread slices on non-stick tawa.
  • Roast till the bread slices turn crisp.
