  • 30 oz. - fresh spinach
  • 1 lb. or 8 oz. - cottage cheese
  • 2 - medium onions, sliced
  • 3 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - ginger powder
  • 1 tsp or according to your taste - garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp - jeera powder
  • 1 tsp - jeera and mustard seeds
  • salt, jaggery and oil
  • pinch of hing

How to Make Spinach with Cottage Cheese

  • Heat oil in a pan.
  • When it is hot, add a pinch of hing and jeera, mustard seeds.
  • When sizzled, add chopped onion and fry till nice and translucent.
  • Now, add spinach and all the spices and keep frying. Let it cook.
  • When done, add salt and jaggery and stir till the jaggery has melted.
  • Switch off the heat, add all of the cottage cheese and mix nicely.
  • Serve with chapatti or paratha.
