  • Spring onions - 2/3 bunch
  • Gram flour - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 2/3 tsp
  • Turmeric - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 3 tbsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Sugar - one pinch
  • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Spring Onion Vegetable:

    1. Wash the spring onions and cut the green leaves into very small pieces.
    2. Heat the oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds. Immediately add turmeric and then the cut spring onions. Cook for about 5-7 minutes.
    3. Do not cover the kadai. Keep stirring.
    4. Add chilli powder and stir for a while.
    5. Do not overcook the vegetables otherwise they will lose their colour.
    6. Add salt and a little bit of sugar.
    7. Add gram flour 1 tbsp at a time.
    8. Keep stirring so that lumps are not formed. There should be no dry flour in the kadai. Add flour only until the oil can absorb it.
    9. After that just stir fry the vegetable on low flame continuously for a minute or two.
