Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Sprouted Lentils
  • 1 - Onion chopped
  • 1 - Tomato chopped
  • 1 tsp - Fennel seed
  • 1/4 cup - Grated Coconut
  • 2 - Cloves
  • 1 - Cinnamon sticks
  • 2 - Bay Leaves
  • 1 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 3 tsp- Coriander powder
  • 5 - Curry leaves
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • How to Make Sprouted Lentils Gravy:

    1. Grind the coconut and fennel seed with a little water.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add the bay leaves, cinnamon sticks and cloves.
    3. Fry them until brown.
    4. Add the chopped onion, chopped tomatoes and curry leaves.
    5. Once the onion turns translucent, add the sprouted lentils, chilli powder, coriander powder and salt.
    6. Fry them for few minutes until the raw smell of the powder disappears.
    7. Now, add the coconut-fennel seed paste. Add enough water.
    8. Let them cook for a while and until the sprouts get well cooked.
    9. Serve hot with rice, chapattis and parathas.
