Ingredients

  • 2 cup - Cooked basmati Rice
  • 1/2 cup - Sprouted moong dal (sprouting will take about 3 days)
  • 1 - Carrot
  • 1 no - Green bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup - Cabbage (shredded)
  • 3 - Spring onions
  • 1 tsp - Green chilli sauce
  • 2 tsp - Soya sauce (light)
  • 1/2 tsp - Black pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Sugar
  • 1 pinch - Mug (ajinomoto)
  • 3 tsp - Oil
  • Salt as per taste
  • 2 pinch - White pepper powder (optional)
  • How to Make Sprouted Moong dal Fried Rice:

    1. Cut the onions, carrots and green bell peppers lengthwise and keep aside.
    2. Heat oil in a pan, when hot, add the onion and fry until it turns slightly transparent.
    3. Add the carrots and stir it together (carrots should be half cooked).
    4. Add the sprouted moong dal and shredded cabbage fry them together for a few minutes.
    5. When this is slightly cooked, add the bell peppers and toss it twice.
    6. Add chilly sauce, soya sauce, pepper powder, sugar and salt. Stir it for 5 minutes and switch off the stove.
    7. Add the cooked rice and toss until everything get well mixed. Cut the spring onions into small pieces and add them to the fried rice.
    8. Sprinkle white pepper powder.
    9. Serve hot.
