  • 2 cups - Green moong dal sprouts
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger (chopped)
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 2 - Garlic Cloves (crushed)
  • 1/2 tsp - Fennel seed powder
  • Salt
  • Oil for Deep Frying
  • How to Make Sprouted Moong dal Masal Vada:

    1. Grind the sprouted moong dal coarsely without water.
    2. If it is too dry to grind, just sprinkle a little water.
    3. Add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger pieces, crushed garlic cloves, curry leaves, fennel seed powder and salt. Mix everything together.
    4. Heat oil for Deep frying.
    5. Take a small ball of this mixture flatten it in your palms and gently drop it into the hot oil.
    6. Fry until it has cooked well. Strain the excess of oil on a paper towel.
    7. Serve hot with spicy coconut chutney.
