  • 2 cups - Green moong dal sprouts
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - Ginger (chopped)
  • Few Curry leaves
  • 2 - Garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1/2 tsp - Fennel seed powder
  • Salt
  • Oil for Deep Frying

How to Make Sprouted Moong dal Masal Vada

  • Grind the sprouted moong dal coarsely without water.
  • If it is too dry to grind, just sprinkle a little water.
  • Add chopped onions, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger pieces, crushed garlic cloves, curry leaves, fennel seed powder and salt. Mix everything together.
  • Heat oil for Deep frying.
  • Take a small ball of this mixture flatten it in your palms and gently drop it into the hot oil.
  • Fry until it has cooked well. Strain the excess of oil on a paper towel.
  • Serve hot with spicy coconut chutney.
