Ingredients

  • 2 cups - sprouted moong
  • 2 cups - tindora
  • 1/4 cup - besan
  • 1 - large Onion
  • 1 Clove - Garlic
  • 2 - Green chillies
  • or 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1 inch cube - Ginger
  • few Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 3/4 tsp - salt
  • oil for frying
  • How to Make Sprouted Moong Veg Vada:

    1. To make sprouted moong: Soak green moong dal overnight, and drain water next morning. Keep wrapped in moist cloth for about 8-12 hours.
    2. Grind onions, garlic, green chillies, sprouted moong, and tindora.
    3. Add salt, cumin powder, red chilli powder, and chopped coriander.
    4. Use the besan for binding the dough.
    5. Make small flattened balls about 1.5 inch diameter and 1/2 inch thick in size. Fry in oil.
    6. Serve with chutney, ketchup or tamarind sauce.
