Ingredients

  • 2 cups - sprouted moong
  • 2 cups - tindora
  • 1/4 cup - besan
  • 1 - large onion
  • 1 clove - garlic
  • 2 - green chillies
  • or 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 inch cube - ginger
  • few coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 1 tsp - cumin powder
  • 3/4 tsp - salt
  • oil for frying

How to Make Sprouted Moong Veg Vada

  • To make sprouted moong: Soak green moong dal overnight, and drain water next morning. Keep wrapped in moist cloth for about 8-12 hours.
  • Grind onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, sprouted moong, and tindora.
  • Add salt, cumin powder, red chilli powder, and chopped coriander.
  • Use the besan for binding the dough.
  • Make small flattened balls about 1.5 inch diameter and 1/2 inch thick in size. Fry in oil.
  • Serve with chutney, ketchup or tamarind sauce.
