Ingredients

  • 2 - large star fruits
  • 1 - lemon
  • 1 cup - sugar
  • 1 cup - water

How to Make Star Fruit Preserve

  • Slice star fruit into thick horizontal slices.
  • Add half the sugar to the water. Boil it along with the fruit.
  • Cook till fruit is tender. Drain fruit, saving the liquid.
  • Add remaining sugar to liquid.
  • Put back to boil until it reaches a 1 thread consistency.
  • Add lemon juice and fruit back into syrup.
  • Boil for a further 2-3 minutes.
  • Take off fire, cool, bottle in sterile jar.
  • Seal with non-metallic airtight lid.
