Ingredients

  • 400 to 500 g - broccoli, broken into florets
  • toasted Sunflower seeds
  • For dressing:
  • 2/5 cup - Olive oil
  • 2 tsp - sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp - mirin or white Vinegar
  • 2 Cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1.5 tsp - chopped fresh Ginger
  • milled black pepper to taste
  • How to Make Steamed Broccoli with Oriental Dressing:

    1. For dressing:
    2. Mix all the ingredients together.
    3. Steam broccoli over boiling water for about 6 minutes or until just tender but still firm and bright green in colour.
    4. Place broccoli in a serving dish and while still hot, pour over dressing.
    5. Sprinkle toasted sunflower seeds over and serve immediately, as a light meal with crusty bread or as a side dish.
